How do I achieve transparent gradients in 32 bit mode? I don't want 1 color transparency like in 8 and 16 bit, I want it too be smooth and gradual for some of my sprites, e.g that has glowing parts and whatnot. Alpha maps?

SplinterGU

enable alpha channel in your 32bits graphs... in your graph editor.

I can't seem to find anything like that in FPG EDIT 2009.

Maybe use the latest version of smart fpg editor?

Ah now I can see the transparency :) maybe the one I've been using is outdated. Thank you.
