Hello to all,
I must do an english presentation and I m searching for information about pronunciation rules.
I have a little problems because I m spanish talker and sometimes I read the words as they would be in spanish and they sounds very laugh.
Do anyone know a web page or e-book about English pronunciation?
Thanks.
I think the wiktionary (http://en.wiktionary.org) has pronunciation sounds. Well there are many dictionaries that have a button "click here to hear the word pronounced". You can also use the IPA keys and an IPA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPA_chart_for_English) chart.
This is one of the results I got when googling for 'dictionary pronunciation': http://www.cooldictionary.com/words/pronounce.mpl . It seems like a handy page.
When I have problems with pronunciation I use this page http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=feature&submit=Submit
I have to do an english presentation too ^^. I will make it on june.
ok, thanks, I will revise all links, but I'm searching a pronuciation rules list for trying to read any word never seen before. Something like when a spanish read incorrecly a word of the other language.
For example, try to read the symbiosis of spanish and english words "spanenglish"
Now I think that my presentation will be a spanenglish language close more to spanish.
I have found googling this web
http://www.ompersonal.com.ar/omgrammar/reglasdepronunciacion.htm
Is very good for starting. Do you know more like this?
Juas, spanish for gringos
