Hi !
My BennuGD game is very slow on LG G4.
Does someone know why BennuGD is slower on certains smartphones ? The LG G4 is not an old smartphone, it should works normally.
Thanks !
No idea.
Could you share it so that I can treat it in my Nexus 5?
Hi Grew!
I'm pretty sure you're using one of the first builds, which hadn't hardware escalation and were really slow on HD devices.

Thank you for your help, but I've already tried on Nexus 5, it works well (60 fps).

I don't know if I'm using the last version of BennuGD, but it woks well on these (HD) devices :
- Nexus 5
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
- Samsung S5
- Samsung Note 4
The only one I have tested which is very slow is LG G4.I will check my BennuGD version and try with the last one.EDIT : I'm using the last version from here : http://www.bennugd.org/node/2 (r307).
Have you tried to compile it with PixTudio?
Yes but I've encountered a bug :

I have not taken the time to look more closely.

Thank you, but the problem here seems to come from mikmod library. The openal library is already imported in the Android PixTudio project.

Hello , you're right , it was seemed like a mistake to me happened to me, and hurriedly ran one from Mobile , para ยท try to help xD
Have you compiled the C code with ndk-build?
Also, although it will probably reveal nothing, could you please provide a logcat of your program's execution in the LG G4 phone?
I've succeeded to build and run my game on Android. But on most devices, the PixTudio version is slower than BennuGD version (tried on Redmi Note 3 and Nexus 5, 60fps with BennuGD, 40 with PixTudio).
I will make two APK to help to find the problem.

That might be the case if you're rendering to a graph (scroll_on_map and similar techniques). Is that the case?

what is possible? :(
please, give us more info...
Grew, please try this benchmark:
http://www.pixe.es/gputest.apk
How many FPS does it report?
Thanks!
Also, if anyone else wants to try it, tell us the results and your smartphone model :)

I've tried with the game I'm working on but I don't want to share it right now :/. I will make two APK, one with BennuGD and one with PixTudio with a homemade benchmark to target the problem as soon as I can.

The FPS vary from 106 to 143 on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Cyanogenmod 12.1 Android 5.1.1). I will try on Nexus 5 as soon as I can.
It's approximately 170fps in my Nexus 5 using Android 6.0.1
60-65 fps on Sony Xperia Z with Android 5.1
i am very impress for your idea
