Mr.Clean

is bennu using the div game engine?

FreeYourMind

No way dude...
Bennu it's a continuation of Fenix with another name, and Fenix born as a clone of DIV, imitating is functionality.

Maybe another div like start using div game engine, but it is another story  ;D

Div is only historical. It ran on Dos. It was kinda neat that it had integrated tools, like an excellent palette based drawing program
and tools like an fpg manager, fnt creater, installation maker, text editor with syntax highlighting, debugger and an integrated help system.

I still use Div occasionally with dosbox, just for it's drawing program. Div 2 featured even more things, like a sprite creater and a mode 8 map editor. But would I still use Div itself? No, because it's over 10 years old, and only works on Dos. Bennu is much more modern, and more extensible, and is highly portable. But the language itself was created for Div originally.

thanks for the replies guys, i feel relieved to know that since div is proprietary  :D
