and so another noob leaps into a programing language XD
i was just wondering if there was more than evil dragons fenix tutorial (chapters 0 to 2) to help codeing in fennix, im in no way familiar to any codeing but for a project i plan to bring the the dreamcast i hear this is easyer to learn than c++
my hope, is to build a game like elemental gimick gear or even something similar to an icometric resident evil (with prerendered 2d scaleing sprites rather than 3d models, do please lend me your thoughts on if it is possible) ive folowed the setup and have a working enviroment (firebird, and even your helpful tutorial on setting up a cd image for fenix on the dreamcast) but i cant find a real thread of "noob to pro" for simple beginers,
im sure its a derp question as im sure there is something on here to help, but is there any sugestions for where absolute beginers can go?

I think what you want to do is perfectly possible in Bennu, but there isn't anything already done really, so you'll have to work on your own isometric tiled map engine.


Anyway, I would start downloading the BennuPack: [size=78%]http://code.google.com/p/colombiandevelopers/downloads/list[/size]


it has some tutorials and there are also many examples for you to see.

thanks, to give an idea of what i hope to make its kinda like harry potter and the order of the phonix on the gba ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPytH5ufdqc ) yes i know its a terrible game but it does show what i mean by resident evil with 2d sprites,
ive since found a nice "snipets" section on finex's website, it shows some ways i can import and use things but its still not complete beginer material :/

thanks :3 ive been searching round there too >.< but i really am an absolute beginer, the shmup tutorial is handy but i just hope i can make more than just a space ship shooter (or at least not at first :P)
