Holas...

Saludos!

karma up por la iniciativa!  :D

si, karma up...

Yeeeeees! This is great stuff! Although, maybe we should consider faster hosting if we are to do all this. The wiki is already not so fast for me.

About the front page: your idea is a good one, to have a list of highlighted stuff, but I don't see it fitting for a front page. Perhaps in a small list, but not as the main item on the front page and especially not in the *news* section, because people subscribed to the RSS feed of the news will expect news. What I see as a front page is a quick way of finding things, amongst would be the page you describe. Your page can get very large very quickly (well I assume you don't delete entries, because it's news) and actually is better of being categorised if it's that big, so the best place for it is on the wiki itself. Don't get me wrong, hmmm, you know, I will just list where I see the money:

- Front page: brief intro to what Bennu is, documentation links (should fit on 1 page) including a link to the page you described (so not the actual tutorials), maybe add an explicit link to the download section.
- About Bennu page: about Bennu, in more detail.
your page would be on the wiki: probably the main tutorial page or something
- Download page: detailed download page including previous releases and details on how to get it to work (like what external libraries you need).

Of course I didn't mean the news to be only news releases, but anything else interesting and related to Bennu. Like what? No idea! :) Module news is great too. For example I would like to know when a 3D module will be released, so I will watch the RSS feed of the news. I don't watch the RSS feed to read about how to start coding in Bennu.

There is not just a large Spanish user base, this forum is almost entirely Spanish; in fact, I think it's entirely Spanish besides me (counting active people). If we want Bennu to be more used internationally, we need to cater Bennu internationally. And internationally means English nowadays.
This doesn't mean the Spanish should get shut out, not at all. All that is important, is that the "official" important stuff (like this topic, like talk about suggestions and the main site) is in English, so it is available to a lot more people and more people can join or follow the discussion. Because if I did not take the effort of translating every post here, trying to find out what people say, I would not be part of the discussion and this holds for every non-Spanish user. There are not many non-Spanish now, but if we cater in English, more will come.

Truth.

Lo he visto muchas veces.

You are on the right, but i think spanish community must still be supported cause the main of community actually are spanish-speakers.

We should raise community introducing english on boards, main page and wiki, but we also can loose part of it with the only-spanish speakers.

If Drupal supports multiple languages, then by all means, add multiple languages, but the problem with this is that when one language gets updated, others have to be updated too and in practice, no one does this. So we would end up with a great Spanish site (because everyone here is Spanish) and the English one is not so great. Compare the English and Spanish forums: the Spanish one contains all the action: logo3D, bennu3D, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to enforce people to use English for their projects or topics, all I am asking is that the official stuff is in English, so everyone can take part. With official stuff I mean the administration of this forum, of the wiki and of the site (thus including this topic, because it's about 'administration'). The wiki is in English and will remain that way. I don't know how to make it multilingual, but I could look that up if really wanted and needed. A very obvious disadvantage of a multilingual wiki, is that some languages could have better documentation than others. And if it's all in English, everyone has access to it and if you can't read it... well you always have google translate.

But ehm, I think we understand each other, so we'd better get to work now. ;)

Yes, English, but don't forget Spanish...

I think wiki on english is right. Wiki multilingual is too much work and hard to get updated at same time.

Anyway official documentation about how bennu works must be on spanish too.

Another issue:

what is bennu? section i think is not correctly designed. I think this section is what newcomers will click first. And newcomers searching for a new way to develop games will not get a clear idea. i mean, "Bennu, a Fenix fork from Fenix 0.93" this for a newcomer that doesnt come from fenix means "ohm, and what is fenix?" and google-search-fenix 0.93. Maybe newcomers see clearest on google than still navigating on bennu´s  page and finnaly decides to continue "googling"

I think this What is bennu? link  must describe What is Bennu for a newcomer, like if a 12 years old boy get in this place. Like if nobody knows anything about fenix, C, or game programming. One of the powerfull features of div/fenix/bennu is easy-programming languaje, so almost everybody can use it. I think What can i do with Bennu? into this section should be right too. With some ingame snapshots of some bennu developed games. Here the perfect should be a video with not large duration that gives a clear idea of bennu potential.

I agree fully. These parts can be multilingual and are in fact useful in various languages.

I mean the official documentation that will be included in the first official release. The offline documentation, included on the final version.

I believe the perfect solution will be a package with ide+documentation in spanish and another with ide+documentation in english for international community.Main download in english, with spanish download like alternative.
